This week in Winning Post

This week's Winning Post will be available online from 3pm Thursday AEST here.

Old-timers will tell you they could always detect the first scent of spring in the air when the weight-for-agers stepped out for the Liston Stakes at Sandown. These days the Liston is the P.B. Lawrence and it's run at Caulfield, but the same observation applies.

Pinstriped, second to Mr Brightside in last year's Lawrence, will be among the serious spring hopefuls returning at the Heath. Mr Brightside, who's dominated the race in the past two years, won't be there, adding to its attraction for rivals as a spring kickoff.

Elsewhere on the Caulfield card, the new-season three-year-olds strut their stuff in the Vain and the Quezette while the sprinters match motors in the Regal Roller.

Meanwhile the Sydney three-year-olds begin their Golden Rose journey in the Rosebud at Rosehill, while it's Mekkafest day at Doomben.

Our form coverage kicks off on Friday with a full form guide for Ballarat, plus fields, colours and tips for the other Friday TAB meetings.

The metro racing this Saturday is at Caulfield in Melbourne, Rosehill in Sydney, Morphettville in SA, Doomben in Brisbane and Belmont in Perth.

Winning Post carries full-colour liftout guides for all those meetings plus Warracknabeal  (Vic/SA edition), Kembla Grange (NSW edition) and Gold Coast (Qld edition), as well as fields, tips, ratings and/or colours for other TAB Saturday cards.

On Sunday we've got liftout formguides for four more TAB meetings (plus Launceston in the Tas edition) as well as fields, ratings, tips and colours for a stack more Sunday and Monday programs.

Don't forget Winning Post now carries trackwork reports for all four Melbourne training tracks, all three in Sydney, Morphettville in Adelaide and a general Brisbane report.
